About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 45 minutes

Join Springfield Lakes Nature care to celebrate World Environment Day & take a leisurely circuit track walk along graded tracks to observe the nocturnal animals that inhabit a section of bush in Springfield Lakes. BYO Torch & binoculars. Please wear comfortable closed in shoes, long sleeves/pants or wear mosquito repellent. Afterwards we will provide a warm cup of HOT chocolate & marshmellows in the local park beside the lake. If we leave on time we might just be able to see some of gliders that have taken up residence in some of the special rear entry glider boxes. They leave just after dusk so please be punctual.

This activity is suitable for families.

This year's theme for World Environment Day is #BeatPlasticPollution - we'll be using reusable keep cups to serve hot chocolate in. We encourage you to bring your own keep cup on the night but don't worry if you forget as we will have cardboard cups available.

We also will have raffle tickets available for our annual fundraiser which helps fund our internet service & website. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 or 10 for $10 for a Hamper valued at $65.
