Welcome to the Volunteer Bush Trail Guide Training ! Are you passionate about nature and eager to share your love for the great outdoors with others? Join us for this exciting 2 day training session.

DATES

• Thursday 19th June AND Friday 20th June

TIMES

• Day 1: 8:45pm till 4:30pm
• Day 2: 9:00am till 12:00pm

VENUE

• Perth Hills Discovery Centre, 380 Allen Road, Mundaring WA

Who Can Participate?

• People with disability
• People working in the disability sector (i.e., Support Coordinators, Support Workers, etc.)

What Does the trianing Cover?

• Preparation and planning for walks
• Risk management, emergency planning and response protocols
• Equipment for day and overnight walks
• Appropriate food for multi-day treks
• Group ratios, health and safety
• Judging the fitness and ability of groups
• Group leadership skills, conflict resolution and communication
• Leave No Trace and minimal impact
• Record keeping
