Tim Neal – Hammond Organ / Saxophone
Tim Neal is one of Australia's premier Hammond organ players, with a career spanning countless performances, tours, and recordings across the globe. A multi-instrumentalist, Tim also excels on saxophone, clarinet, piano, guitar, and bass. His musical journey has seen him collaborate with international icons such as Mavis Staples, Ricky Lee Jones, and Joss Stone, as well as Australian legends like Paul Kelly, Archie Roach, and Kate Ceberano. Tim’s expertise extends beyond performance; he has served as musical director for major theatre productions, contributed to film and TV projects, written for leading music publications, and coordinated major festivals and events. A two-time ARIA nominee and winner of the 2022 Music Victoria Award for Best Blues Band with Checkerboard Lounge, Tim brings an extraordinary depth of musicality and energy to every stage he graces.
Steve Hobbs – Bass
By day, Steve Hobbs is a passionate music teacher shaping the next generation of musicians. By night, he transforms into a dynamic live performer with decades of experience under his belt. A seasoned guitarist with Geelong favourites Good Faces 4 Radio, Steve is picking up the Fender bass especially for this milestone Groove Doctors reunion. Known for his solid rhythm, keen musical instincts, and infectious stage presence, Steve seamlessly adapts to any musical setting. His versatility and dedication to the craft make him an invaluable part of the Groove Doctors’ signature blues-rock sound.
Enrico “Mick” Morena – Drums
Enrico “Mick” Morena is a world-renowned drummer whose groove has carried him across 45 countries, sharing stages and studios with artists like Kate Ceberano, John Schumann, and Dan Baird. Whether delivering a delicate brush stroke or driving a thunderous blues shuffle, Mick’s versatility and signature feel are second to none. His career spans international tours, major festivals, studio recordings, and live gigs with icons across genres from folk to rock to world music. With a lifetime of global performances, two tours to Afghanistan entertaining allied troops, and countless collaborations under his belt, Mick brings a world-class pedigree of rhythm and energy to the Groove Doctors’ reunion.
John Dallimore (JD) – Electric Guitar / Vocals
John Dallimore is simply one of the fiercest guitarists Australia has ever produced. Over a stellar career, JD has toured with and supported legends like Ray Charles, James Brown, Deep Purple, INXS, and AC/DC. His blazing guitar work has led him from Redhouse to his own outfit, Dallimore, as well as to collaborations with Max Merritt, Jon English, Brian Cadd, and Doug Parkinson. Billy Thorpe once described JD as a "frightening guitar player," and it’s easy to see why. With experience playing stages in America, London, and Scandinavia, John Dallimore's electrifying guitar and powerhouse vocals are the lifeblood of the Groove Doctors' epic blues-rock sound.
Kenny Miller – Guitar / Vocals
Kenny Miller is a dynamic solo artist and frontman for The Handsome Gargoyles, renowned for his soulful voice, killer guitar licks, and captivating stage presence. Over the years, Kenny has shared stages with icons like Jon English, Mondo Rock, Bo Diddley, Joe Camilleri, and Russell Morris, to name just a few. His enduring musical partnership with John Dallimore dates back to the late 1980s, performing together as a duo and in various bands. With heartfelt vocals, raw bluesy guitar, and a deep love for the music, Kenny is an integral part of the chemistry that makes The Groove Doctors such a powerhouse live act.
