The loss at sea of sailor Thomas Timothee Vasse during an attempt to rescue stranded scientists from the shores off Busselton in 1801 is one of the least known and most enduring maritime mysteries in Western Australia. This talk will explore the various theories surrounding the possible fate of the lost sailor, the voyage, and the purpose of his travels.

Presenter Bio:
Leslie Thiele is a writer and researcher whose work has gained recognition in various writing competitions and has been published in several anthologies. Skyglow is her debut short story collection.
