Sydney Contemporary Fine Arts Collective Exhibition of 2025
The Collective has been formed by a group of artists who live, work, and play in Sydney who desire to see a reformation of a community, and direct inspiration drawn from it. This group of artists is motivated to produce and exhibit fine arts in traditional mediums.
Please come to visit the gallery to view works and to join the artistic community of Sydney for exchange of ideas, inspiration, workshops, classes, groups etc as society rebounds from the digital era back into creating real life objects and situations of intersectional intrigue. Fine arts is drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, glasswork, pastels, chalks - where a physical medium creates a physical work, and the hand of the artist is visible in the final work which ideally represents an idea or concept that relates to the humans who will engage with the work.
OFFICIAL OPENING: Join the Exhibiting Artists for an afternoon of Artist Talks at 1pm on Saturday 7th June, where each artist will present 2-5 minute talk about their medium, process, or works as we 'open the studio' to connect with gallery visitors and people wishing to learn, by talking about what we do and why we do it.
Champagne, refreshments, catered lunch and seating will be provided complimentary for all guests. Dietary restrictions are unable to be reasonably catered for, it is requested all persons with strict dietary restrictions to please supply own catering.
- The Exhibition is FREE to enter and is open from 10am Thursday 5th June - Midday Wednesday 11th June 2025 at THE SHOP GALLERY 112 Glebe Point Rd, Glebe NSW.
- There is metered vehicle parking on Glebe Point Road, ample bicycle parking and the area is serviced by 433 bus.
- All people welcome to general gallery including children - you can spend as little as 5 minutes in the gallery, but please invest time in learning and appreciating your local art scene while the exhibition is on.
- All artworks are at a professional standard of excellence and are presented for viewing and sale.
Please RSVP to: Artist Talks Saturday 7th June.
Art Music Thursday 5th June 2025: Sonic Horizons Meditation
Sonic Horizons Meditation will present a live "Celtic Music Meditation" where the audience is taken on a beautiful journey of melodic folk music and a guided meditation which takes the listener on a very relaxing experience while listening to music which peaks and lulls in a soundscape of ancient rhythms and accompaniment.

Art Music Sunday 8th June 2025: The Music Box Project
"The Music Box Project" are a troupe with a strong connection to Glebe, having previously run an experimental music night at the Glebe Hotel. They will be setting up in the gallery creating a site specific soundscape which responds to The Shop Gallery, and The Sydney Fine Arts Collective works as a stimulus to creating improvised music. Their shows are wildly entertaining and are always full of surprises, you will never forget seeing the ways that this group combine music, movement and merry to put on a very exciting concert. Bring your running shoes to keep up with the musicians and be prepared to see instrumentation and improvisation as you have never seen it done before.
An excerpt from their website:
the music box project seeks to present ‘music outside the usual order of things’ and has brought to life projects that celebrate music made by members of the collective and creators outside the collective. The collective has championed an interdisciplinary approach to music making and specialises in creating music experiences that incorporates elements of theatre, media, performance art and more.
the music box project curates events that blur the lines between audience and artists, creating experiences that invite audience members to be creative and actively engage in the music in curious and creative ways.
