Never picked up a needle and thread or have a little experience but want to make bigger seam dreams a reality? SEW GOOD returns in 2025 for Term 3 to gather you up a lifetime of future sewing successes!

Let our friendly expert trainer, Lynn Burton, masterfully guide you through the essential skills over a 10-week series of classes.

Whether to relax, learn new skills, meet like-minded people or create award-winning pieces, it will improve your skills immeasurably.

🧵 BEGINNERS:

Tuesdays, 6-9pm

July 22nd to September 23rd

Learn the basics from hand to machine sewing, buttoning to corners and curves. You'll also graduate having created your very own sewing set, pincushion, scissor holder, needle holder, drawstring bag, sewing machine mat, zipper bag, and a tote to carry it all.

WHERE: Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds

MEMBERSHIP:

It is compulsory to have a CAHRS membership of $25 (or only $10 for 17 & Unders) if you are not already a member for the year the course takes place (available as an add-on when you pay the term fees). You will be required to complete a membership form which will be emailed to you to finalise your membership.

BOOKINGS:

Full-term fees are $150+BF for 10 weeks of classes, to be paid prior to the commencement of classes. $25 Membership add-on also required if you are not a 2025 CAHRS member.

INSTRUCTOR:

Lynn Burton

Sewing since she was 8 years old, Lynn has been a CAHRS member for a couple of years, is a Fairbridge Craft Retreat alumni, was the assistant teacher for sewing classes before taking both classes over as the teacher.

TO BRING:

BYO sewing machine, essentials kit (needle, thread, scissors, pins, tape measure etc) and materials. Please note, Beginners kits are able to be purchased at the event if you cannot organise one yourself.
