About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Paper quilling, also known as paper filigree, has a rich history dating back to the Renaissance period in Europe. It was practiced by nuns who would use strips of paper trimmed from the edges of gilded books to decorate religious objects. The art form gained popularity during the 18th century in England and France when it became a fashionable pastime for affluent women. In the Victorian era, paper quilling was used to create decorative pieces such as tea caddies and picture frames.

This technique is renowned for its intricate floral designs and embellishments, making it ideal for embellishing greeting cards. Join this class to acquire new skills and craft personalised greeting cards. Unleash your creativity through this art form that allows you to bring your creations to life!

This class is designed for Adults. All material provided.
