A bespoke workshop to support The Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network, its member groups and volunteers to explore how they might engage, attract participation and fund pest plant and animal projects in the area.

Engaging Communities in Pest Plant and Animal Projects: Making a Real Impact Together. Dive into the essentials of fostering community excitement and involvement in pest plant and animal projects. This session will explore how to design initiatives that not only draw people in but also empower them to take action. We’ll break down the key factors that boost participation—crafting hands-on experiences, building clear calls to action, and adapting our projects to meet people where they’re at. By the end, participants will have fresh ideas on how to turn curiosity into commitment.
Marketing for Maximum Reach: From Branding to Buzz: In today’s cluttered media landscape, how can we make sure our pest plant and animal projects stand out? This segment is all about turning our project into a memorable “brand” that speaks to people. We'll cover the pillars of branding and messaging that resonate and share insights on leveraging the most effective communication channels—from social media and community events to local partnerships. With actionable marketing principles and practical tools, we’ll learn to amplify our reach and cut through the noise to get our message out where it matters.
Securing Funding for Impact: Going Beyond Traditional Approaches. Securing funding for environmental projects is more challenging than ever. But by thinking creatively we can find pathways that not only get our projects off the ground but also keep them thriving. This session will explore traditional and unconventional fundraising methods, from grants and sponsorships to grassroots crowdfunding and community support. We’ll uncover ways to connect with funders who understand and support our mission, giving us the flexibility to tackle issues at a grassroots level and make a lasting impact.
