Join us for a casual, story-filled afternoon featuring our fellow Kensington locals Sobremesa Fermentary & Blendery, as we dive into a drinks list specially curated around the theme of mistakes and heartbreaks.

This guided tasting will be punctuated with tales that’ll have crying with laughter and loathing alongside some truly unique drinks.

🍺 A zesty boilermaker on arrival

🍓 An unreleased (and never to be released) fruited saison

🍻 A boilermaker featuring an intentionally mistreated beer, paired with something a little bit special

🥃 An unreleased whiskey made from the finest leftovers—anything but left behind

🔥 A first taste of the Bakery Hill x Sobremesa new make spirit, sampled before it hits the barrel

🍽 Some snacks will be provided, but we strongly recommend eating lunch beforehand—this is an afternoon of merry-making, after all.

Bakery Hill is the longest established Single Malt Whisky Distillery in mainland Australia. Based in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Bakery Hill has long been regarded as "The Dark Horse" of the Australian Whisky industry. The distillery was honoured to receive the award of the "Best Small Distillery Whisky in the World" by the Whisky Bible in 2005. This is a unique opportunity to learn about whisky production and of course tasting from the actual founder and distillers from a globally recognised single malt whisky distillery.
