Welcome to the Learning Session of Falun Dafa at Queen Victoria Gardens

In an outdoor class, you will receive a brief introduction to the practice, a demonstration of the five Falun Gong exercises, and focused instruction on 1 to 3 exercises each lesson. Sunscreen.

Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a spiritual practice that millions around the world have made a part of their lives. Rooted in Buddhist tradition, it consists of two main components: self-improvement through the study of teachings, and gentle exercises and meditation.

Number One of the Five Sets of Exercises

Buddha Stretching a Thousand Arms 佛展千手法

Using gentle stretching movements, this exercise opens all energy channels in the body.

Number Two of the Five Sets of Exercises

Falun Standing Stance 法輪樁法

Consisting of four static postures that are held for several minutes each, this exercise enhances one’s energy level and awakens wisdom.

Number Three of the Five Sets of Exercises

Penetrating the Cosmic Extremes 貫通兩極法

With gentle hand-gliding movements, this exercise purifies the body using energy from the universe.

Falun Cosmic Orbit 法輪周天法

Our teaching volunteers will provide meditation mats for learners. Participants are also welcome to bring their own mats.

Who started Falun Gong?

Falun Gong was introduced by Mr. Li Hongzhi from Changchun, China, now residing in the U.S. He is a five-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee and was nominated for the European Parliament’s Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. He also received Freedom House’s International Religious Freedom Award.

Who practises Falun Gong?

Falun Gong is open to all and practiced worldwide by millions from diverse backgrounds. Though it began in China, it is now taught by volunteers in over 130 countries. Falun Gong books, translated into 40 languages, are available free online, making it accessible to people from all walks of life.

How many people practise Falun Gong?

In early 1999, Chinese officials estimated 70–100 million people were practicing Falun Gong, making it the fastest-growing spiritual practice worldwide. Today, practitioners are found in over 130 countries, but it's hard to provide exact numbers since Falun Gong has no formal membership concept.
