Class dates for Term 2: Weekly on Tuesdays 29/04/2025, 6/05/2025, 13/05/2025, 20/05/2025 (Cancelled), 27/05/2025, 3/06/2025, 10/06/2025, 17/06/2025, 24/06/2025 and 1/07/2025.
A weekly class for intermediate level English speakers to improve conversation skills. Migrants from all non-English speaking backgrounds are welcome.
Everyone is welcome to register, however, if demand is high, priority for bookings will be given to permanent residents of the Local Government Area. Registration is limited to one class per person per term; and maximum two years enrolment for each proficiency level.

- Participants attending must be aged 18 or over and from a background where English is not the first language spoken.
- You must be a Library member to attend this event. Library membership is free and you can join online or at any branch.

- Registration is limited to one class per person per term; and maximum two years enrolment for each proficiency level.
- Refund Policy: We understand that planning ahead can be challenging in these uncertain times, and sometimes things come up. For tickets purchased directly through Eventbrite, cancellations made up to 1 day before the event start date will receive a refund, minus Eventbrite’s fees. Cancellations after this period will not be eligible for a refund. Only tickets purchased directly via Eventbrite are eligible for a refund.
- Event Cancellation: In the case of an event cancellation, tickets purchased directly through Eventbrite will be refunded to the original payment method. Tickets purchased via the kiosk at the library will be credited back to your library card.
- If you can’t attend a lesson, please tell your tutor or library staff (call Jodie or Katherine on 9093 6400 or email [email protected])
- If you are absent from two classes without notifying your tutor or a library staff, your ticket may be cancelled.
- If you are unable to attend the whole program, please cancel your booking online as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the program.
- Your ticket can be cancelled by the organiser at any time without further notice.
- Limited to one ticket per person. Duplicate tickets booked will be cancelled.
- The ticket is not transferrable.
- The classes are subject to one-off cancellation.
- Due to safety reasons, children are not allowed in the classroom.
- Your attendance at events supported by Randwick City Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on the council’s websites, publications, and social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
