Is your child ready to explore their artistic side while building important life skills? Our engaging painting workshop, designed for kids aged 6-12, offers so much more than just a beautiful artwork!
In this fun and supportive session, children will design and paint their very own masterpiece on canvas. They can choose to bring their own creative ideas to life or be inspired by ours. The magic truly happens when things don't go exactly to plan (as they often do in art!). We'll gently guide them through any feelings that arise, helping them develop a growth mindset and discover strategies for perseverance. They'll learn how to keep trying and deal with setbacks long after the paint dries – skills that will benefit them in all areas of life!
Kids will also:
- Mix and create a spectrum of colours using just the primaries.
- Learn new and exciting art techniques.
- Discover inspiring stories of famous "mistake-makers" throughout history and apply their strategies for resilience.
If your child does the drawing session in the morning, they can choose to paint their creation. Give your child the gift of creativity and confidence! All materials are provided.
NOTE: This workshop is a part of our Mistake Maker Camp. These are based on the incursions we have been running in schools for years. The camp is offered as four stand alone half day workshops at $80 a session. If you would like to book your child for all four workshops over the 2 days at a discounted rate of $270 contact us and we will book your child in and invoice you.
Each child will receive an Emotion Wizzy Dizzy and make a BAT our tools for emotional regulation. Parent information on key messages and how to support your child are included

Please note, The Maker Space is a secure tenancy in Floreat Forum. Doors will be secured and children will be supervised at all times. Children will be escorted to a toilet by our staff with access to an ambulant toilet (one person access at a time) which our staff will wait on the outside of the door.
