BCA has been organising Boishakhi Mela (Bengali New Year Festival) for the last 29 in Sydney, where 15 of these events were held in Sydney Olympic Park precincts. One of these precincts is Australia’s home ground, ANZ Stadium, and this festival is the only community event it has hosted to date.

This iconic festival had to be postponed for 3 consecutive years in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Resuming in 2023, the Mela attracted a large crowd as the community regained their best event with the best festivities. The famous Bangladeshi musical band "Miles" performed there. In 2024, another big shout from BCA, presenting another popular musical band "Dalchut" in the same venue.

With its authenticity and richness in producing and presenting Bengali culture, added with ethnic diversity, it has created a transcending appeal and thus has become an annual celebration of thousands of Bengali-speaking people in Australia.
