About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us at The Australian Sepsis Grand Round to learn more about Sepsis and Respiratory Infections.

This edition of the Australian Sepsis Grand Round brings together leading voices to explore the evolving landscape of sepsis care across Australia and beyond.

The session opens with Sepsis Updates, featuring global and national perspectives from Brett Abbenbroek (Sepsis Australia, Asia Pacific Sepsis Alliance, Global Sepsis Alliance Board Member) and an overview of the Victorian Sepsis Program presented by A/Prof Gerard O'Reilly (Safer Care Victoria). A panel discussion will follow to reflect on national progress and future directions.

In the second half, we turn to Sepsis and Respiratory Infections, a timely focus ahead of winter. This segment includes a powerful consumer story, followed by expert presentations from Prof Allen Cheng on at-risk populations and respiratory viruses, and Dr Eli Dabscheck offering a clinical lens into respiratory sepsis.

Both sessions will feature a Q&A segment with expert facilitators from multidisciplinary fields. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding of sepsis and contribute to improved patient outcomes.
